This sudden death has made me think two things. All the media commentary refers in varying detail to Cook's resignation speech. The BBC website is even streaming it. So firstly, could the timing be any better if we want the country to get thinking about what is really the cause of this so-called 'terrorism'?

Secondly, I have been musing and asking my friends if they died suddenly and unexpectedly, how would they like to be remembered? I hope there are more than one or two Labour MPs who will be wishing that their legacy could be as powerful as Robin's. He didn't actually change anything, but by damn he tried. That's good enough for me.

Thanks for enabling the comments, Tony. I'll be visiting frequently. :)

It's easy to overdo the integrity bit, for a pol to resign, as he did, over a matter of principle, is well, rather unusual.
